Hello all Canreefer,
As you see the photo below, it had a really tight space for me to get access into the sump, either taking the skimmer in or out for maintenance. Plus, the skimmer was a bit undersized for the volume of my tank, so I took a big breath and upgraded everything the past few weeks.

All the equipment run normally and I gave everything a vinegar bath, except the sump tank. I cleaned and scraped the entire tank except the area near by the bulkhead.
Drilled Sump has no compartment ($50)
No crack or leak
Dimensions (outside): 36" x 12.75" x 18.5"
Dimensions (inside): 35.5 x 12" 16.75"
It was originally came in 3 plexiglass compartments when I bought, it didn't stick well with silicone, one panel was sliding up and down when I was cleaning the sump, so I pulled them all out.
To use as a fish tank if you don't mind the bulkhead, you could simply unscrew it, switch it inside out and have the PVC screw plug on the inside instead, then cover the whole thing with sand or any other substrate.
