Does anyone else's cat drink water like this?

Ever since I got him a few years ago this is the only way he will drink water

You can put a bowl of water in front of him he won’t touch it, you can even have one of those running water thing bowls going and he ignores it but as soon as you head for the bathroom no matter what you gotta do in it he will jump up on the sink and want that tap turned on....fussy cat only the finest city water for him. On the other hand my other two cats they will drink out of the toilet ...they ain’t fussy or classy ....hahahaha

All three of our cats use a dish but when it runs out the oldest one comes to 'tell us'. I'll be in the washroom and he just stares at me and meows. He wants me to run the bathtub faucet for him and sprinkle water on the tub bottom so he can hop in and have a drink while he waits for me to fill the dish. The youngest is obsessed with the kitchen faucet but not to drink from. He attacks drips after someone has used it.
