Any reefers in Vernon/Kelowna?

Just moved here and don't know many people. Always nice to meet people to talk reef tanks with.

Awesome! I guess I will have to dust off the old facebook account and join!

What are the LFS like around here? I see there are some that carry saltwater, but what is their quality like?

AJ's pets and Seahorse bay Aquatics in Vernon, and Impact Aquariums, and Purple seahorse are In Kelowna.
Quality well that's something you have to decide for yourself, haha. I have my favorites but have shopped at all.

I guess I will have to drive around on the weekend and check all of them out.

Won't say which ones are your favourites?

Welcome to Vernon. We've actually got quite a few reefers here. Nigel listed things well in the above post. AJs pets is remodeling their saltwater fish area and when it's done it should be nice. They are a pretty traditional store but have been moving to more of the new stuff every year. I'm sure you will find your niche here in short order.

What size tank do you have?

Thanks. I checked out a few places this weekend. I think everything but impact aquariums as they were busy.

I moved what little I had in my 75 gallon to a IM 25 AIO when we moved. Fish are doing well, but corals are struggling. Lost a few already and looks like I will still lose a few more unfortunately.
