I have 2 SB Reef lights, which are from a Florida-based company. One of the lights had issues last year, and now the second one is going through the same thing. Long story short, the moonlight mode shows a clear dimming, and the company is willing to address this (lights still under warranty).

Difference under moonlights..

However, I worry that the moonlights are not the only ones failing. However, you can't tell the difference with the naked eye. I'm hoping I can test the lights with a PAR meter? Is there anyone out there with one I can borrow or rent? I wonder if JL rents them out (I think BRS does?)

Thanks for any help on this.

Does it always happen? If you unplug and plug back in are the moonlights still not the same? I have never used a par meter and none of the LFS rent them out here. That being said J&L is pretty progressive and may mimic BRS rental.

Nope, there's definitely someone wrong with them, had similar issue with other set of lights. Sigh...
