Clownfish aggression

I have 2 clown fish in my 75 gallon tank. They are both juvenile and one is bigger than the other. I have had them in the tank since August with no issues. Today the bigger one has been chasing and nipping at the smaller one. Trying to chase it away from food and just generally being a dick. I found the smaller one stuck to the power head and anytime it moved the big one chases it. I have separated them for now, but is this normal for clowns?

I have the same problem with the 2 clowns I have. Mine are fine all day, but as soon as the lights start to go out, the bigger one goes after the smaller one to the point that it hides under a rock so the other one can't get it. From everything I have googled about it, they seem to be working out dominence, but it seems a bit much for a pecking order. If you have found anything else out, I would be interested to hear

Do they seem to have paired up?

Do they have a home? (An anemone or some other Coral hosting them?)

Welcome to the wonderful world of clownholes

I would keep them separated for awhile and try to reintroduce in a couple of days if the aggression continues you might have to consider rehoming one or the other clownhole.

Based on what I know, usually wild caught clownfish are very territorial. They used to defend their territory from other clownfish. But for tank raised clownfish, they’re not really aggressive because they’re raised in a group setting without any threat. Not sure but your clownfish could be a wild one.
