Looking at various skimmers and was wondering if bubble king are as good as hyped to be?

They are amazing for sure. But there's a lot of skimmers out there that are 1/4 of the price that do the job relatively the same. I personally wouldn't waste the money... simply because I don't have it.

If I was rolling around in cash... I would buy one.

It's kinda like asking if a Ferrari is worth it.

Yes, but a Chevy will get you to your destination as well.

I haven't used a lot of different skimmers.
Mostly budget skimmers.

I've only heard the hype about BK.
I can't afford a new one.
I picked up a used BK200mini and it's on my current display.

All I can say is Wow the thing is a Fn beast!
Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved my Alpha 170 and my 200. Best skimmer's i've had yet. However i'm running a Skimz right now and honestly, it's the same skimmate production.

I have the Vertex Alpha 200 and have no complaint with it. Once it was dialled in it has been working flawlessly.

Nothing wrong with, Deltec, or a vertex

Or get a Beckett skimmers old school :)))

I have the Vertex 180 and feel it does a much better job than the BK 200 mini I previously used. And with BK, if the pump goes, you aren't going to be happy :)

Thing with the omegas is that i keep reading that its finicky and dependent on your water level not fluctuating. That being said, if skimmer is in middle chamber of sump, the water level should remain consistent due to baffles.

I have an alpha 200 with an auto neck cleaner wired for working with an apex. looking to get rid of it. let me know if your interested.
