Got two hoses I've connected in my sump.

Looking to seal the connection, was thinking of using a stainless steel hose clamp and silicone or jb weld.

Im worried about stuff leaking into my water, ie rust and toxins from the jb weld.

Any reccomendations on what to use?

You can get hose plastic snap clamps which are like a hose clamp.

Im thinking about using type 1 bathtub silicon, or marine silicon.

Any words of caution?

How did you connect the hoses? If you used barbed fittings just get a couple plastic squeeze clamps and be done with it.

Why do you want it glued? Or is it pipe and not hose?

Clamps like these are what Dkoko and I are talking about.

If you’ve got a PrincessAuto near by they will have them.

This.

Also, only use Aqueon silicone available at J&L, or GE SCS1200 for aquarium silicone.

This.

What Warren says because the other silicone has chemicals that inhibit mold growth which will adversely affect your fish.
As well, zip ties are available that do not have the stainless metal in it that locks the tie
