I am in Ontario looking for a gently used MP40QD model only.

PM me if you have one.

Thanks.

Very hard to find, especially at a reasonable price in comparison to new. I ended up just buying new with warranty . gl

I guess. Technically something used should be half price to start. Then you gotta ask, can you still get that model? How long was it used?

I think people over pay for a lot of stuff. Electronics and motors are a huge risk. I wouldn't pay more than $300 for one.

Just look at our housing market and debt problems people have, folks are so out of touch.

I disagree. Some items last longer than others, and higher end products hold their values much better.
Good on you for getting such a great deal.

That comment was in regards to electronics and motors not a blanket statement. I have worked with small motors and electronics for years. I am very well versed in their so called "quality". If a pump was running at 100% for 2 years vs one at 75% at 2 years there is a pretty big variance there.

And besides, you may be okay with buying used to save $100 bucks... I am not willing to pass on a warranty and add more risk for such little savings, no matter how good that product is.

I've worked in service for over 30 years, so I have a grasp on service life and such.
My previous comments were pretty much directed at EcoTech and how you got your pump for half price.
As I wrote, good on you for getting a good deal.

Are you seriously stating that you'd take a 50% hit on anything you bought and then sold?

On electronics, unfortunately.
