If you know anyone who's coming up to Edmonton, or anyone in Edmonton who's going to be going down to Calgary, maybe you could get in on the group order from AI. 200 gallon buckets of Kent Salt for 58 bucks. Deadline is the 9th though

Welcome...

As long as you don't mind the occasional dog hair on the bucket...

Big Al's here in Edmonton will be having salt on sale from Dec 26-31

The 200 gal pail of Red Sea salt will be 29.99

the 160 gal pail of Instant Ocean will be 34.99...

I will be heading to Calgary probably on the 28th if interested...

Well, we will probably be borrowing my in-laws vehicle to save on gas. We normally drive a v8 jeep but we really don't want to take it because it really drains the gas. I'm already bringing one down for Allan in Calgary and that's it, but I'm picking up 2 for myself. So I might have room for 3 more...

I don't want to take anything away from this, but, if Big Al's in Edmonton has "Boxing Day" sale prices on salt then I'm sure Big Al's in Calgary will as well. They have generally had good prices on salt during that week in past years.

I think it's worth asking before we overload Dez with dozens of salt buckets.

I asked the manager here if all the stores are doing it, because I thought the same thing Tony was thinking, I will be in Calgary for a lot of the holidays and I would've just picked my salt up in Calgary.... however, the manager at Big Al's here says that most of the stores don't bring in nearly as much as they are planning on bringing in, so I'm not sure if pricing will be the same..
