Running into a little roadblock here...finally ready to tackle plumbing but can't seem to find any pvc fittings at the big box stores, eg elbows, unions, couplings. Any info on local suppliers?
Also need a 1 1/2" bulkhead and JL is out of stock and unsure of when next shipment will arrive.

Thanks!

Home depot only carries pvc in relation to irrigation. So you will only get fittings up to 1".

You will need to go to a specialty Irrigation supply shop.

Corix has several places in the lower mainland.

I saw their website and thought they were wholesale.
I'll check it out - thanks!

Corix is where I've gone in the past.

Will be heading there in near future as I need to plumb my new display as well.

I thought about andrew sheret but I think they were closed today. Thanks - I'll check that out too.

Spit.fire, I'd like to check out that toolbox if you lived closer, haha.
Btw, I think you might be familiar with this tank.

Corix will be slightly cheaper if you have a contractor plus account (corporate / municipal).

Go to Corix @ 69 Golden Dr unit #1, Coquitlam
Tell them you are a Landscape Installer to get a discount.

Best pricing you'll find and selection is excellent.

So, it is wholesale? I don't know how convincing I'll be as a "landscape installer" when I'll be stammering and not even knowing the right terminology

Just walk up to the sales counter and say cash sale. Bingo bango no problemo. They get a ton of aquarium nuts coming in and looking for fittings... just explain you are one of those nuts.
They only supply thread/thread bulkheads... not the more popular slip/slip bulkheads.

Hello

It's been a while but I recall I once found bulkheads at a bath tub supplier at North Van. Sorry can't be more precise but thought it's worthwhile to throw in bath tub suppliers as a potential source on top of irrigation suppliers which is also a valid obvious choice.

It's been a run around for sure. Yesterday we finally had time to shop. We went to 4 places, and to two of those places twice (different locations). Finally found the right bulkhead back at the first place I ever looked - JL - which just had new stock come in.

I still had to order the black bushing (look at me and my fancy new plumbing lingo) to replace that white one that was bugging me, from BRS. Only white ones up here. I have to go down to p/u my new skimmer anyway:lol:
