any suggestions, i plan on designing my own c-swirls, because the original is wat too expensive. I was thinking of a motor from an ososilteing (sp?) fan. my problem is finding one strong enuf that nly moves up to 180 degrees. preferable only 90 dergrees. come up witht some suggestions and ill share my plans with all when done. for all I know, one of you have already pulled it off.

there are several DIY sea swirls on RC all you have to do is search. a few use the fan motor and worked, for how long I am not sure.

wrassehole,

Hope you enjoy the DIY site.... the Sea-Squirrel was my initiation into the rotating return diy... it was an enjoyable project and I hope you have as much fun as I did...

It led to another project which I still enjoy today... the Reef-Rat... my invention to work around the Sea-Swirl patent restrictions...

See it here..http://reef-rat.cjb.cc/index.htm

Happy DIYing...

That Rat is fine... but it's amazing how fast they breed....

Been real busy lately... putting up my 210 finally... as far as the Rats go they're doing fine... a lot of mods and refinements have been added... basically it's a changed breed... found lots of good homes for all the off-spring so far...
