The time has come to post this bad boy up for sale. I wish I could say I had it up and running for longer but we couldn't avoid the success the housing market was having and decided to sell the house after the tank had only been running for just over 2 years.

It's a 400G tank and stand perfectly designed for an in wall setup. You can set it up in a room of course too but the stand wasn't built to be pretty like a piece of furniture so it would take a bit of finishing work but not a ton. It was also built to house a sump if that's what you'd prefer.

The tank was made custom by Concept Aquariums, is 84" long, 36" front to back, and 30" high. The front is starphire, the top is eurobraced, and the back has a coast to coast overflow with 3 drains and 2 returns. The back is also covered in a black sticker, not sure of the material.

The stand is made with 2X6's and plywood all around. The plywood can be cut on any side to make more access hokes for a sump without jeapordizing the stands integrity. It's painted with marine paint and has a platform around the sides for walking on and accessing the inside of the tank.

Other hardware that can be included is the frame around the front of the tank if you want to remove it, a 6 foot glass sump with four 7 inch sock holders, two drilled 100G tanks (one separated in the middle) currently used as frag tanks and/refuguims, and lots of plumbing. There will be a ton of other equipment available too including lighting, return pumps, mixing stations, etc. That stuff can be negotiated in the deal or it will be sold separately at a later date once I know what equipment I'm transferring to the new tank and what I don't need.

Let me know if you have any questions. I also want people to really consider the size and responsibility behind a tank like this before getting excited and saying you'll take it. I know it's common to be overcome by the excitement of owning a tank like this but please consider the commitment.

$2000 for tank, stand, sump, and the frame around the front of the tank. Other equipment is negotiable. Located in Victoria.

Do you mind me asking what you used to frame around the tank? I'm planning an in wall and like what you did there.

Beautiful tank GLWS

Thanks. I had a kitchen cabinet builder make it. It's basically identical to what they would laminate kitchen cabinets with. Expensive though. Cost me $1800.
