So I'm looking at a new lighting system. The tank is a 24x24x24 60 gal cube. Will be bare bottom and sps heavy. I also do not have a apex just a reefkeeper. I'm looking at The dimmable ATI 8 bulb or the hydra 52hd or the newest radion xr30w pro. So what do you all think of these lights? Pefer people with experience with these lights and sps nerds. Thanks

I've used the Hydra 52 (non HD) on the 30x30 cube and it left some shaded spots around the edges but should be enough for a 24x24. I have found with LED fixtures, especially a single fixture will leave dead spots on the underside of Coral colonies as the light doesn't get down there. The customization is nice also.

T5 I have also used and found a lot easier and effective and you really can't go wrong with an ATI fixture. 8 bulbs will give you tonnes of light and a good amount of bulb choices as to get a spectrum that you like.

I would go T5 if I had to pick one or the other. Your corals will thank you too. You could also go non-dimmable and use timers to control the lights.

People are also very fond of a combo, but seeing as you asked one or the other I'll leave that for now.

I have a 60 cube and originally had a single hydra 52 over the tank. Puts out alot of light but still being an LED left shaded spots. I have since added 4 t5s to the hydra 52 and am very happy with it now.

If i was to do it over. I would just go 8 bulb ATI t5 and add a reefbrite or two.

LED T5 combo... I use Mitras... One of the best full spectrum LEDs in my humble opinion... If the was in the market for new lights I would do ATI with reefbrites
