Hello
I have a 4 foot 120 gallon tank. It is on the main floor. The floor joists are 2x6 spaced 16" apart and are placed on a concrete pad.
The tank sits perpendicular to the joists and is resting on at least two joists. The stand sits on a 3/4" plywood on the floor. The tank and stand are level and do not bounce.

Am I good to go?

Thanks David

I'm no engineer but have been in the manufacturing trades for a long time.

When it comes to houses there are a ton of variables. What do you mean by concrete pad, The concrete wall of your foundation that the end 6-8" of joist sit vertically on? is this an older home with solid wood joists or engineered joists(particle)

120G water 1000lbs. empty tank 250lbs. Rock/stand/equip... 150ish = 1400lbs

Id say if your on 2 joists( should be min 3 with 48" tank) and your less than 4' from an outside wall your good. If these are engineered particle joists and they get wet somehow you could have a warpage issue without catastrophic failure.

Just my opinion

The tank sits on a false floor. 2x6 s sit directly on a concrete floor like a basement would have. I assume the 2x6 are regular wood.
