personally i would probably just go with anything washed well and not sold as "live sand". there have been more than enough complaints of dead live sand throughout the forums to keep me away from it.

I have plenty of sand. It need to be washed but I would be willing to give it away if you were willing to pick it up in Drayton Valley.

Might as well just buy some from a store.
