My light is turing off at almost exactly 3 hours.

I have tried running it through a controller - RKL, as well as the kessil controller too. I called Kessil they sent a replacement power supply with no solution.

Still turing off at 3 hours and 4 mins all the time...any help would be appreciated at this point.

Call kessil back....

One of mine pooped out and they were great and just sent a brand new one.

It was easy peasy.

Yes. The fan is working. Kessil won't replace as outr of warranty period

The unfortunate thing about Kessil is if you have any problems out of warranty your basically stuck with designer paper weights. I had two die the same day and the only support I got was to blow on them.

Since the lights over 1 year, they are out of the 1-year-warranty and we cannot replace them. I ran by my manager to get an approval to offer you an one-time discount for the A360WE Tuna Blue at USD290 plus shipping and any duties/taxes. Please let us know if you are interested.

WOW THANKS ! I was running five of them, now I am running two with a 6 bulb ATI . They are nice leds but at that price you would think if you had a problem you could get them serviced. Hope your luck is better than mine.

I was asking about these lights awhile back as I thought they would look great with a couple T5's to fill in the shadows. Then I met a local reefer who had 8 of them over their tank and within 2 years 6 were dead (including 2 that were replaced under warranty and soon died as well) and the last 2 got sold. Sadly these lights seem to have a lot of issues and not too many ways of fixing them after the warranty period is up.

Are you running it at full power?

Did the lights always do this since you got them? If you shut them off and then turn them right back on will they still run for the exact same amount of time without a cool down period?

I have realised they always did it. If I unplug and plug right back in again they stay on for three hours exactly. Very strange.

I was thinking it was maybe a thermal overload but it should shut off the light much quicker the second time. It doesn't sound like it's temperature related but I'm not sure what is in the light fixture that would have a timer built in.

I had two out of three Kessil 160s fail. Both would start to occasionally flicker then the only color available was deep blue. Then the light was complete gone. In both cases the internal fan was still working fine. Neither light was ever dropped/splashed/submerged etc.. One failed at 14 months and the other at 16 months. Kessil would do nothing for me as out of warranty. Terrible QC and customer service if you ask me.
