Hi,

I came across this saltwater kit (Fluval Evo Saltwater or freshwater tank) on amazon and I was wondering if I should buy it it not. Its priced at 184USD .I wanted a nono tank so this seems perfect. It's about 13 gallons, comes with LED light and a sponge filter. No heater or protien skimmer. It's priced at Thoughts? I'm new to this salt water thing, so any adv8ce is welcome. I do know that bigger is better for beginners but I don't exactly have the space for a huge tank. Thanks!

I wouldn't. Not for $184 USD ($240 CAD).

Alot of people who run these Fluval All-In-One tanks typically buy additional hardware and switch out stock pumps, lights, etc.

The stock LED lights on the Spec series tanks are pretty poor. You'd likely only be able to keep certain softies and LPS with it.

For $240, I would look elsewhere as I see nano setups (JBJ cubes, etc) on Kijiji that come with livestock as well.

I agree with ^. A lot more bang for your buck at the LFS, buy and sell or on kijiji.

Not at all! I asked for advice and I wanted an honest answer. I rather spend my money wisely.
