Just looking to see if there is anyone interested in participating in a group buy for Jebao/Jecod Cp-40's.
I have priced them out in a few places and found what I feel to be a pretty fair price.
6 units come in a carton, I want one and I already have someone else wanting one.

We would be looking at around $125 each.
This includes shipping and exchange.
This is an estimate since our exchange rate changes every day. I am pretty sure it will stay close since I allowed for over estimation.

I can't guarantee how long they will take to get here as I inquired on having it sent by regular mail to avoid duty and excess fees once they arrive.

If anyone is interested please send me a PM. I would need payment before ordering as I cant have $700+ sitting on my credit card and a bunch of CP-40s sitting in my bedroom because people backed out.
I want to know all 6 units are spoken otherwise I will order elsewhere.

So just need 4 more people. If we end up wanting more, say 12 total, I would just have to enquire about shipping 2 boxes and see if we save anything on shipping 2 vs 1.

And I know not everyone on here knows me or has met me, if you're in doubt Warren knows where I live and can hunt me down

And since I am not around and stuck on the island again for now, it would likely by my family receiving and distributing for me.
If there is anyone south of the bridge interested, my mother goes to Cloverdale most Monday nights for Flyball practice and she could bring it with her and you can pick up from here there. She will not meet people elsewhere.
If anyone Central Vancouver Island is interested (I am in Parksville or Bowser), I can pickup when I go over in Oct and I will be able to bring it back with me sometime after thanksgiving.

Let me know
Thanks!

D'oh a couple of weeks too late, mine just came 2 days ago or I'd be in!

BTW they are awesome. I set one up in my 6 foot 125 gallon and its moving all the water. My sps polyp extension is like I've never seen. I think its because it moves a large volume of water but very calmly instead of the harsh flow my other pumps created. It hummed a bit on day one but is silent now.

Great pump for sure. Hopefully it lasts. My old Jebao pump was at least 3 years old, I wouldn't ask for much more than that on a pump that runs 24 hours a day...

Never hurts to have a spare ;)

I think i have 1 more yes and 1 maybe. So 3 left that need to be claimed before this can go through!

Do they all have to be the 40"s or could a guy get one of the 25's?

FYI I have asked the supplier and these are 2nd gen CP-40s.

I would have to double check as I was just going to order a case of 40s and there's 6 in a case. I don't think its a whole lot cheaper for the 25s, maybe $4-5.

What's the difference between gen 2 & 3?

And also is import duties included?

As far as I know there are only 2 generations
As for the difference between gen 1 and 2, I am not sure what upgrades were made. But I'm sure like the Jebao DCS vs DCT, they did some fine tuning to help make the pump quieter and optimize performance. You might be able to find more info on google, but based on what I am seeing most of those perks are only relevant if you buy a wifi controller for it which I am not doing. They likely would have still fine tuned the pump itself.

So these CP40s are the newer versions if that clears anything up.
And they do NOT include the wifi add on.
If you want one with wifi Fish street seems to have them for $219 USD  ouch...

Thanks for the explanation, I just checked fish-street and seems like gen 3 is coming soon?

The only thing I see on fish street is a July 14 Update for the new ones. These are the same new ones. Just no wifi thing.

EDIT:
Just need 2 more people. Will likely have an answer about the CP25s tomorrow morning for those who have asked me about the smaller ones for their tanks.

well those don't exactly exist yet so not sure how I can compare them?

As with everything else updates are always being brought out. We can wait for an update or new version but it wont be long before its outdated. Jebao brings out new versions all the time it seems. Retailers in Canada were finally just getting the DCT pumps in when they released the DCS and I snagged one of those from overseas.

Keep in mind that Fish street is US pricing as well

If you don't want to order don't. But I feel like youre trying to put down my topic here and get people to back out or? As of July there were 2 versions I was made aware of. Like half the other companies out there they likely bring out an upgraded version every few months.

I want to clear some things up here.

This is CURRENTLY the newest version out.

I am only doing this because I want one and I don't want to pay big $$$. And because I can get a better deal by buying 6, well heck I hope to find 5 others who enjoy being just as frugal as me that want one as well.

I am requesting it be sent by China Post. So that means it ends up with Canada Post once it makes it here. I have never been charged duty or taxes when an item has arrived through Canada post. There is always a first for everything. I have always been charged stupid amounts of duty and taxes when UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc import the product so I opted not to use them.

The quoted price I gave you includes the US to CAD conversion done on my banks website (not google which shows a lesser rate) as well as the shipping fees converted. I divided the total by 6 and ended up with that number.

If you are interested or have any questions please PM me.

1 more person

For those who have inquired about getting the CP25. Yes we can swap out a 40 in the box for a 25. Cost would be slightly less. Not by much however. I think the difference was 6 or 8 USD. Haven't done the math with those ones in it.

So I guess the next person who wants one is in and I will try and place an order on Monday/tuesday since they don't work weekends.

I think we have the 6 we need! So unless 6 more people come forward before the order goes through this is done! Will try and arrange to get payment from everyone the beginning of the week.
I would happily welcome another 6 if enough people want these.

If theres 4 more people we can do another case? I have 2 people in line if anyone from the first 6 backs out so we do just go for another 6.

Any chance theres 3 more people that want one?
Ive got 3 on my "if someone backa out" list so if we find 3 more we can just order 12

Order has been placed and paid for. So no more! Unless new Jebao stuff comes out and I feel like I HAVE to try it

If any of my initial 5 don't pay up by the end of the weekend, I will work my way down my wait list.

There is still the potential to get enough people for another set of 6.
I keep getting people asking to be put on a wait list so.... if you actually want one I can make another 6 happen.... I just need to know before they start shipping stuff out, not after.
There is 1 pump going to Saskatchewan if anyone out that way is interested, perhaps you and that person could split shipping?

I'll get one if you are doing another 6.

Just sent a message to my 5 "wait list" folks. If they are all still in, and I can get 1 more for sure, I will order another case of 6.

Just needing 1 more person. Somebody out there is bound to want a CP40. My 5 wait listers have re-confirmed their in. I don't really want a spare pump so id rather not eat the cost of 1 just so we can have another 6.

Heya. Just wondering how everyone is liking their new CP40 pump? I'm thinking of getting a CP25 and was wondering if everyone's experience has been good? I've had an issue with a jabeo rw unit not working out of the box in the past, but once I got a working unit, it's been great!

It's only been a couple weeks so hard to make a solid decision but initial thoughts are the water movement is awesome corals seem to be happy and as of right now I'd buy another one.

Everyone who ordered has received a text about their pumps. I have a few folks who have not replied (from both groups). So incase you did not receive the text please contact me to arrange pickup.

There are no extra pumps for sale. These are all spoken for.

Still have 4 pumps sitting on the dining room table. So that means most have been picked up.

Bit of a wait but we got the generation 3 pumps and all 12 pumps came through with no duty! Hurroh! Bit of a plug issue from the factory but all fixed up! All in all, not bad for saving $60+ each.

So those wondering about them id say enough folks have had a chance to use theirs long enough to be able to offer comments on them.

I've had my CP-25 for over 3 months now and I love it. Great water movement and silent. So far little maintenance required but per the instructions I took it apart at 3 months to clean it out. It really wasn't dirty though so I'm not sure why I did..lol

Putting it together properly was tough though, I was getting pretty frustrated. if you put the side parts on to tight the rotors won't spin and the module just gives you an error. It took me putting it back together about 20 times before it was happy and started to work properly. Honestly I'm not taking it apart again unless I have to.

Other than that I love it, I wish I had 2, one on each side of my tank for sure.
