Wanted: Stomatella snails

Anyone have a few extra Stomatella snails they can spare? I'm trying to beef up the cleaning crew in my tank...

Stomatella snails are strange. They will show up in a tank, and grow large numbers, but you can put them in another tank, and they do not do well. I have a tank that is polluted with them. I could maybe catch a few and send them back with Al later this week. But don't get you heart set on many because they only come out at night after lights out. :mrgreen:

I am coming in to Edmonton on Wednesday. If I can scare some up in my tank I will bring too. With Bob's and mine maybe they take hold in your tank.

Where is a good place to take the snails? I will be going to Josh's and Leeanne's. Are you close by or can I leave them with one of them?

I'm actually right across the river from Leeanne's place, so it might be easier for me if you just dropped them off there. Or, if you are going to go down Calgary trail back to Dryaton Valley, I can meet you along the way since my house is only a few blocks away from Calgary trail.

Well I was able to only collect two to send up with Al. I saw more behind rocks, but I was not willing to tear the tank apart to get them. I think just after "Lights Out" is a better time for collection. :sad:
