if youve been reefing long enough you usually would end up with a room of shame

I keep them in buckets then smash everything into rubble or sand and re incorporate it eventually into the substrate.

I'm mostly LPS and softies, so it's easier to hide the evidence

Most of my skeletons become fuel for the calcium reactor. However I do have a large showy Squamosa shell on a table next to the tank.

I have a clam shell, that's it. I am impressed with your bleach job! Mine never come out that white. What's the secret?

just standard javex liquid bleach...

I tried vinegar on some of them but thought it would just eat away at them

imagine that, but outright colonies...

my mom kept them and bleached them to keep.

we're clearing out the house for renos, so I had a chance to check them out again recently. and I actually remembered what most of them looked liked when they were thriving.

i'm only keeping a few large clams shells to put up on a display shelf though.
