Looking for opinion or experience

I run an Aquaray Aquabeam 600 Fiji blue in my RSM130 to make colours pop.

It works really, really well.

It uses 5 3W CREE led's and improves the stock CF lighting drastically.

I would just buy another one of them, but JL no longer carries them.

I'm now setting an RSM250 up.

So my aquabeam 600 will no longer offer the spread I need on this wider tank.

What do you Canreefers recommend for ready made "stunner" strips?

My only caveat is that they need to be able to fit in the stock canopy and must be water resistant/proof.

ReefBrites. ..that's what all the vendors are using to get the super saturated photos lol

Lol...

I haven't seen them around for a long time...

Though JL is pretty much my only frame of reference anymore.

I remember OA used to carry those.

Where is best to order/look?

Anyone try the euroquatics T5 blue pop replacements?

I might go pick a couple up tonight and give them a try...just because so simple and no modding required.

I have and I would recommend them, much more blue than my ati blue plus and it makes everything pop. However, I did return them due to the reason it won't automatically fire on my controller through my ati fixture, I had to manually turn it off and on, some times a couple of times before it would fire. Maybe its a profilux thing.

I'lll try them on my reef keeper and aquacontroller....

Will hopefully not be an issue.

Profilux is pretty hardcore.

Thanks for the input.

They were such a big deal (marketing wise) when they first came out, I sort of took the lack of discussion about them as a sign of some unhappy owners.

Lol...

I assumed investigating avatars was his job...

That and snarky comments just before closing threads.

I'm not sure a Guy Fawkes avatar could be called original or proprietary by anyone in this day and age...

Now changed you two...

HL is way less played out than Fawkes anyways.

Alright.

Bought a couple euroquatics and while I like the heat reduction and greater longevity, my expectation for difference in coloration was maybe too high.

Still happy to have 2 but I think I'll cap it off at 2 and use ATI's for the other 4 moving forward.

The aquaray I have (cree royal blue leds) is just SO nice, I wish they were easier to find in Canada as I'd just get a second one.

I looked at going a DIY route but I need something that is fairly water resistant, like the aquaray and I couldn't find anything DIY that seemed to fit that criteria.

The reefbrites are also hard to find locally and don't look like the housing on them would be as ideal for an enclosed, humid canopy...
