Ive gotten some good feedback from a few reefers on this board regarding these pumps, but Im looking for any input from someone who has experienced these powerheads. Im lloking at getting a 6000 on a controller. I already have a Mag 12 return and a T4 closed loop, my tank is 1/2 LPS, 1/2 SPS, about 2.5 inches of sand.

Thoughts?

Can you post a full tank pic of your setup? Seeing the rockwork can sometimes make this kind of question much simpler.

I just threw those clams in for fun

Ill update better pics at a later date, any suggestions for flow improvment would be great. the 3/4 lock line on each side is the closed loop and the 2 5/8's on either side is the return Mag 12,

Thanks for your input

If I was going to add a stream to that tank, it would be in th etop front left corner, facing the large acro colony on the upper right side. That would avoid direct current on the LPS while giving an overall increase in flow.
Another option to consider might be a seaswirl places in th erear centre f the tank coming off the MAG 12.

I run 2 tunze streams in my 90g. I think they are 6100's. On a multicontroller with the pulse setting.

plus 2 seio's (620 and 820) and the return pump is a mak4...

Of course, I have only acro's and no sand....

but in my 120g, I had nearly the same setup, except two return pumps and 4 maxijets, the two tunze with 5" of sand and some other corals like frogspawn, etc in the tank. No seio's on the 120g though.

I had a small problem with the sand getting moved around on the first day. by the second, no probs at all.

I guess I need to decide if I need more flow? or just random flow?
