Blue World Aquariums in Victoria has been for sale for some time now. Lots of interest, but nothing solid. So I can either try to sell it now for what I can get for it, or shut it down this winter when my lease is up.
I'm now asking $30,000 for it, which includes nearly that value in inventory (wholesale pricing), lots of tanks, equipment, shelving, a great location and established customer base. Rent is low and the landlords would happily sign a new lease with a new tenant. The price is ridiculous and a bit painful to look at...but my heart isn't in it anymore. As an absentee owner, it just breaks even for me. It could do very well for an owner who was passionate and committed to running the shop. Obviously a great opportunity for someone who has dreamed of owning their own reef store.
