I keep seeing photos with iPhones where people are using amber filters to reduce the blue and the photos are great! I assume this is an app? Which app is it? Is there one for Android too?

I actually just ordered these from ebay, and they work well.

Not an app. Real world physical filters. Try a (real) camera store.

Yeah like warren said no app it's a piece of orange plastic works well on super blue tanks.

Oh weird, I tried Googling "amber filter Galaxy S5" and got squat. I was picturing something that snaps onto the phone. I'll order up those gel tints, thanks chefpaak!

What color filter is everyone using. I'm looking for one for my SLR.

Like this (http://www.hoyafilter.com/hoya/products/coloredfilters/gorange/), or something darker?

Perhaps there are colored plastic sheets available I could just hold over the lens? My lens is 72mm.

I ordered a set for my cell phone, but they are only 2" square which won't work for a 72mm lens.

If your using a dslr camera you might be able to manually set a white balance. Depending on camera of course. You would need a piece of white plastic to put in the tank under the light. Then focus on it and make sure your exposure is correct. You want it to be white and not grey. Then set your white balance off of that pic.

Cheers,
Tim

The following are available by the same seller and are larger (3" x 3") for use with DSLRs:
