The beer fridge in my office/sump room has been freezing pop, juice and beer for months. It hasn't really been a concern and I've been gradually turning it down from its max of 7 to recently 3.
This last Thursday I came home to this

The culprit

After cleaning out all the coke residue I turned it down to 1.
Friday it was still too cold so I took the controller cover off (to get the part #) and visually turned it down as far as it would go without turning it completely off.
Well, obviously this was too much.
This morning I walked into my office and stepped on a wet carpet. The fridge had completely defrosted

I now have a thermometer inside and am adjusting as needed until I can find a replacement controller.

I see another problem with your beer fridge. There's only one molson Canadian in there. I think the fridge is telling you to put better stuff in it

Thankfully all the 'good' beer was already used up
Imagine having to clean all the syrup off a couple dozen

V8, yum! I could use some of that right now. Thanks for the cravings...grr! Well that's an annoying damn fridge. A couple months ago I dropped a can of pop in the storage room. It sprayed EVERYWHERE - hit the ceiling, all four walls, all over the carpet. I feel your pain.

Yup, its a staple here
Funny, the V8 freezes solid but doesn't explode. Guess its the lack of CO2.
Hopefully I'll have a grip on the temp in the fridge now with the thermometer in place

Still looking for a replacement controller but whatever ... life goes on
