View Full Version : Ruby Reds Spawing Behaviour

Just wanted to share a couple of videos of my ruby red dragonets doing their dance. It's like clockwork and they're at it everynight around the same time - about 30 minutes before the main lights turn off. Sorry for the potato quality. Photobucket totally kills videos when they convert them.

I wish mine will do that. but wait.. one is in display tank and one lives in the sump now..

From my understanding the eggs get sprayed into the water column which means they probably end up in the protein skimmer.

Very cool! Congratulations on the pairing of the fish. I love mating pair of fish. If the pair mate in your tank, that means the fish are happy and in turns demonstrates you are doing something right.
BTW, both videos come up very blurry for me. Does anyone have the same problem.

Yeah it's photobucket, not a good place to store videos. I'll just upload to youtube and repost.
