Hi everyone,

I'm looking to build or buy a Auto-top-off for my 55Gal reef.

These are the specs:

-The main tank has no Sump
-floats or level sensors need to be placed in the main tank
-Not too bulky
-would power a small powerhead that is placed in either a bucket or rubbermaid container.

Does anyone have a solution forsale or plans to make one?

Thanks

Hi,

For your situation, I would get two of these....:
http://aquariacanada.com/osCommerce/product_info.php?products_id=716

....and read these threads here on how to hook them up:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=280291&highlight=auto+and+topoff and
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=401154&perpage=25&highlight=auto%20and%20topoff&pagenumber=2

Most parts should be available around Edmonton at either Radio Shack or Active Electronics.

If you aren't comfortable with soldering/wiring things yourself, you can always purchase something like this:

A monkey can hook one up.. I am not nearly as smart as a monkey, and I managed =)

Got any pics of your topoff setup Beth? Maybe that would help as well.
