What possible benefit would it be to someone else to gain access to your forum account?

Post ads for iphones and oakleys. We're very good at keeping out fake accounts, so I guess they want to get access with real accounts.

Wife said : if they guess your password , you might use it elsewhere & then they could gain access to other stuff .

That is slight risk I suppose. If they got access, they could look up your email address in your profile. As I've said, use strong passwords and they're near impossible to retrieve. Mix upper/lower, numeric and special characters, at least 8 characters long. At work, I use 15 characters for passwords.

I got this message about a month or more ago. I just ignored it. Figured it was phishing.
