I was intrigued by the innovative marine fish feeder that Rich posted awhile ago so I thought I'd check it out on their website. Found this too, pretty neat but the writeup cracked me up.

"Do you really have 5 minutes to “defrost” frozen fish food in a cup? We certainly don’t."

It made me LOL until I realized how many times I've put food out to thaw and then not fed it. Sheesh, has my life gotten so bad that I really *don't* have 5 minutes to defrost frozen fish food in a cup? The answer is mostly yes. Pathetic.

Also the photo of the single fish daintily eating from this cracks me up. I'd have 5 good sized tangs fighting to get their heads in that little opening. They'd probably knock it off the magnet.

Still a neat idea though, its definitely got me thinking.....

and while I was on the reefsupplies website looking at their feeding accessories I found something called "julians thing". Bwahahahaha.

Clearly I need more caffeine...

I use and thoroughly enjoy Julian's Thing! Makes the Kent Sea Squirt seem totally inadequate.

Although, don't write-off the effectiveness of Kent's bulbous base if leak-control doesn't concern you too much.

Not sure if I want to click on the link

FWIW, I know what it is, saw the big hoohah about it when it was released. I just find it funny they couldn't come up with a better name for it. Then again, maybe thats the perfect name for it

Could even be used as an accidental fish trap. LoL

It made me LOL until I realized how many times I've put food out to thaw and then not fed it.

I hear ya about leaving the frozen food out. Then next morning it's like "what's that stink" or the cup is knocked over and the cat looks rather pleased with itself.

LOL!! Exactly! You know its bad when the cat is downstairs at 7pm next to the fish tank, patiently waiting for "dinner"

I guess this device doesn't consider rinsing out the frozen before feeding. I was always told that frozen food contains phosphates from preservatives.

I produce Ocean Fresh Pacifica Plankton. I do not add any phosphates, preservatives or stabilizers, water or other fillers. The food is 100% pure Pacifica plankton frozen live on the fishing boat at time of harvest. I process and package it in the frozen state. It is kept frozen until you thaw it out to feed. The food is amazing.

You can check it here. http://www.oceanfreshaquarium.com/pacifica-plankton.html

For those interested in rare wrasses there is one in the picture at the bottom of the page. It's not a Fairy wrasse either. :)
