I am trying to make a run at Nat Geo again and need your help today. I was selected as one of the daily dozen and have until midnight to get as many votes as possible. You can vote once using facebook or logging in with a Nat Geo account.

Please spread it around on facebook if you don't mind!

Mine is the shot second from the bottom of the Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone Nation Park.

Weird, no idea as I don't run the site :(

I appreciate the effort though :) I don't have facebook but it seems like a lot of people are going through that.

That's a neat pic, but it looks like it has a fair bit of post-processing. Maybe it's the lighting, maybe it's camera effects, but I dunno...

No need to beat around the bush here, that image had a large amount of post processing. Highlights where there should be shadows, colours have been boosted greatly, smoothing and detail boosting out the wazoo lol!

But there isn't anything against that in the Your Shot rules. I thought NG would frown on it but this is a user based vote. Look at something like Daniel Radcliff's HDR photography. Completely artificial but cool as all hell, most of the time anyways :)

I'm not a sore loser, they beat me fair and square :)

All the best!
