Hey you (JTrigger),

Hard choice for sure….If it were my choice I would pick the Firefish or the Red headed goby. The firefish is beautifully colors! I can’t say I have seen one of those in person ever.

IMO, I would pass on the Multicolor Angel. Even though the Mutlicolor is quite pretty but I read this and thought UH O.H! Reef Compatibility: Keep with caution in a reef aquarium; may eat/nip large-polyped stony corals, soft coral polyps & clam mantles. O.H NO not the clams!

Any body else have suggestions?

It's all about accuracy Lee. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/wink.gif

The Centropyge spp. angels are a toss-up. Mine was fine with everything I kept but M. digitata... in retrospect I should have been happy he nibbled them on occasion. There are previous threads on this, I think the general conclusion was, suitable, with caution.

Who has the red-headed goby in stock? I wasn't aware of that species but apparently the neon gobies are being bred in captivity now. Apparently they have short-ish life spans (one year)?

Elacatinus puncticulatus

I have one and I loooooooove him. He is very small though. Dwarfed in my 90gal (with all the other gobies and blennies )

The fish you have in your list are all so very different. You've got a swimmer, a hoverer and a percher; large, medium and small; medium price, hefty price and small price. It depends on what you are looking for, if you're looking for a tiny splash of reasonably priced color then the redhead is for you. Of course if your looking to spend big bucks on a possible jumper then you'd want the firefish  (I had a regular old firefish Nemateleotris magnifica. Loved him too till he jumped out of the tiniest hole in the back of my tank). I've never had any experience with angelfishes.

J&L often carries the readheded gobies, thats where I got mine from.

Apparently Gobiosoma puncticulatus is incorrect, and as Christy stated Elacatinus puncticulatus is the proper name (according to Fishbase). I wonder how similar they are then to the Gobiosoma species?

wow, i like the red head goby and the helfrichi...i love gobies, they're so cool.

is it true they scrap if you have more than one? I have a yellow watchman right now, but I'd like maybe a blue face goby or a few shrimp gobies...(are shrimp gobies the same as prawns)

IF I HAD to choose though, it'd be the helfrichi
