Anyone using T5 lamps over their reef ?

I am thinking of converting, and would like to know if anyone has experience (good or bad) with these new lights.

Thanks.

I have a T5 pendant fixture. It is 8 x 54 Watt bulbs over a 120 gallon tank.

It is a new tank, too soon to tell how well the T5's will work out. It is a mixed soft and hard coral tank.

For the price I think MH will give you the most light for your buck. However I chose T5 because of heat issues and also I figured I might burn down my house with MH lighting.

I just bought a couple of 24", 24W lights, and am using them on my 15 gallon nano. The light output appears to be equal to that of my 2X65W PC fixture. When the light is exhausted you replace the entire fixture for les cost than one PC tube. So I guess the preliminary report would be good.
