ID please??

Saw this bad boy today during my rock work survey. Not sure if pics shows well. It is about 2" long, about 5/8" wide, flat, and around its perimeter is tufts of white hairs or filaments. Gonna search on line, but there are many using this forum way smarter than I am.

I thought it was, but just in case I was wrong. Thanks folks. I will honestly sleep better now. Funny how quickly panic and paranoia sets in. The only thing I could think was, "if that is a bad bug HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO GET IT OUT???"

Lol, wait till that sucker feeds for a couple months. I've pulled some out that were huge :) I take the big guys out if I can. Right now I have one sharing a burrow with my YWG and pistol shrimp that probably 6-8" long and about 1/2" wide.

As long as you don't touch them, they are beneficial to your reef....excellent at removing detritus from inside your rocks.

Ya. This little guy got me!! I have always just seen these guys poking out and grabbing food as it drifts by, especially when I throw in mysis. I have never seen one just sit there, "at rest".
