A birdsnest grown from a bleached out accidental frag found in the bottom of a tank at Golds. Sometimes they just bounce back from what looks like the goner stage.

I heard chumming with Kari down at the Cecil is a good way to break the ice.

Teevee,
Are the polyps... on that... really blue?
The polyps are purple to my eye and look blue in the photo due to the 2-110W actinic vho that are above it. There's a few frags of it around Calgary for comparison.

Willito,

The frag was a 1" stick last year and is now about 5"x6"

Here's my little stick - - thanks again, Kari. Had this almost 2 months, but no VHO actinics so not quite so violet. Real nice though! (left is 1 week, right is 7 weeks)

Currently setting up a frag tank which should be up and running real soon. I'll start major trimming then.

Hey, stop that me too stuff

I'll post some photos of frags of this coral after the tank is done. Maybe someone else around Calgary can trim theirs until then as it seems this one is not so rare in these parts anymore.
