But will it stop running backwards?
And will the impeller magnets quit swelling up and freezing the thing?

I've never had the impellers swell but had the backwards thing happen

That sucks I had that happen on my vertex skimmer I temp fixed it by citing off the plastic filing the magnet reattaching and jb welding and lastly filing held up till I got a replacement then the pump body fried... Couldn't win

But so far my koralias are fine if they fail I have the gyre

Shouldn't have to mess with parts from any manufacturer
Tired of spending my hard-earned money only to have to deal with things like this ...

The next thing of mine that breaks is going to create a whole new experience for the customer service staff ... !!

On a good note, best customer service ever from Marineland. Had a double bright LED light over a freshwater tank. A week or so ago I came home to it flashing, a sign that power supply to LEDs has gone kaput. Called up Marineland explained that my light was strobing and asked would it be possible to get a new power supply? Woman in customer service asked for my address and said a replacement part would be on its way. A couple of days ago a rather large box showed up on my doorstep, inside was a complete new light. Now that's customer service!

Currently in Florida looking at these at the global pet expo. They look sweet. Fixed the spinning backwards. Higher gph's. Prebooked a ton of them

My concern is the rubber that it sits into all thier other peer heads I have the rubber has hardened and made unuseable

Thought so too.... But it's a decently strong magnet. Think we are safe on this one

Korallia will send out free impeller magnets if you ask them. Also the store where you bought it should have some too.

Send an email to hydorusa.office@hydor.com and they will help you out.

I'm on my third set of magnets.

I find that they tend to start backwards more often as the magnets get weaker.

Cheers,
Tim

I too am on my third set. Pain in the butt, would rather they sell a better quality product.

Yes, that's where I am at as well.

Trying a Gyre pump. Hopefully there is no magnet issues.

Cheers,
Tim

You will like the gyre

Yep, they are completely different animals though, like comparing apples to oranges.

I've got about 12 gyres running in tanks right now and I've been quite happy with them.

Koralia is a bit of a different application IMO
