I have a Hydra 26 mount and director available.
If 26 doesn't meet your needs mount and director will work with the 52.
Can save you some $.

Looking at your build thread I see you're setting up a 5ft 110 gallon. I'm working on a tank close to the same size and decided to go with the AI Hyrdra 26s, as they offer good spread for shallower tanks (under +\-22"). From my understanding the 52's offer a higher intensity for deeper tanks. I ultimately decided on 26's for a more even lighting spread. I'm wondering if there is something I failed to consider?

For what it's worth, I have two Hydra 52s and two regular Hydras and I prefer the regular Hydra over the 52s. IME it's not worth the extra money.

How many hydras 26 is good enough for a 5ft tank?

Well my tank is 5' and if I would have went with the Hydra 26 than I would require 8 of them fixtures. I believe the Hydra52 is around $650 each and the regular Hydra is $399 each. Not sure how much the 26 is but best bang for your buck is the regular ones.

A hydra 26 will cover 2' x 2' of bottom.
8 fixtures would be overkill to the max and then one step further!
3 would give you great coverage with nice overlap on a 5' tank
If you want to come check mine out we can fire it up and you can see for yourself

Personally I wouldnt put a nano tank light over your tank, you'll be diappointed and end up buying more anyways.
