Anyone tried the 250 Watts 10,000K Bulbs by ARC? Right now I am using Ushio and am wondering what the comparison would be...

They're still very new... we still don't even have information from long-term testing for the SunAquatics bulbs.

But the Arc lamps seem to get good initial reviews from that Ottawa board, don't they?

Did you read about them? The 10K doesn't make you a little nervous?

After almost 1 month and much research, I still haven't replaced my bulbs (also due to the fact that I updated my skimmer and installed a new reactor so low $$$), also after a discussion with Ivan he suggests going with the ARC 20000k bulbs to replace my Ushio 10000k. So now after I recoop some cash I will probably follow his advice and try this new option.
Will keep updating as I see how they look.

whoa man, hold up!

first off, bob_i has 20ks for sale (or used to), ask first to see them in action, they might not be what you want.

update: my mistake, he's selling 175w bulbs

I have 2 but I'm planning on accenting them with daylight bulbs rather than actinic. they are BLUUUUUEEEE and bring out super cool colors in the neon range, but my fish and everything else look kinda bland.

so maybe I should go inbetween with the 14000k's?
