It's that time in my life --- I've had my eyes looked at in the past and use readers, but it's time for a prescription
I'm not looking for an Optician

I'm swimming in good and bad reviews online

Who do you use that you like ? Burnaby is preferred

Thanks for any help

My optometrist is in Lougheed mall. Upstairs next to lens crafters. She's pretty good.

Thank you Warren

I don't frequent Cosco anymore, but my Mother-Out-Law uses the ones at RC Superstore

Keep those names coming please. Not a lot of selection yet

Anyone use Lucent Family Eye Care ?

I just found a the list of doctors in my immediate area that are covered by my work .....
My god, there are over 40
I have no idea where to start, and so far I haven't found any that you all have recommended (although I didn't go through all 40+), so I'll start with the one on the list that my mother-in-law-uses and go from there

In the meantime, please keep your Doctor names coming

So you need glasses and need a prescription done? Why would you not just go to the most convenient optical outlet and be done with it? You're not having laser surgery, right?

'cause I don't trust anyone anymore and wanted some input from our community

After my first 2 experiences with Dr Boyd, I'm a little concerned about having my eyes correctly diagnosed
The guy is a jerk who spends no time answering questions, even though he's a surgeon/professional
I have eye issues that he dismissed, even though my GP referrered me there with concerns - twice :surprise:

I don't want the same treatment this time around

I'm in contact finally with a place that may accept my company plan, so we'll see
Get it - see

Thanks for the offer. I found a great Doc very close to home with good hours

I had my exam today with Dr Linda Yee @ Lucent Family Eye Care
She is very thorough, took the time to address all my concerns and explained everything, including my why this and that questions
Very patient and knowledgable
Quite a different experience than going to Boyd Vision
