By the off chance, anyone here (near Surrey) have a working WP40 or WP25 they want to lend me? My WP40 just died today & I'll have to wait for a warranty replacement to come in from Jebao. I'll even buy one if I really have to.

Why wouldn't you just use some maxi jet powerheads in the meantime ?

I am using a Koralia. Bill had a WP40 pump that he could spare

I just had a WP40 die on me. I bought it from Nick in Vernon at Reef Supplies Canada, but he is no longer in business. How did you go about getting warranty?

Hi Walter, if you bought it from/through Reef Supply, try contacting Ray (Reef Supplies).
I actually contacted Fish Street & they sent me the motor portion for $25 (apparently covers shipping).

Thanks, I will do that.

Did you buy it from Fish Street? It is my motor also that quit (no apparent reason). I would be happy if I could get a replacement for $25.

Yes, I have a few & the one that died was one that I bought from Fish Street.
It took about a week to get it here.
Have you cleaned it out completely, just asking.

Yeah, have cleaned it before and was working good just before it died. Was hoping something was jammed, but the impeller turned freely. Just no power to the motor. I have another one, and switched controllers/motors, but it works fine.

They are/were great little pumps,... up until now. Hopefully I can get a replacement motor,... cheap.

I did make contact with Ray at Reef Supplies and he was most helpful with getting a replacement on the way.

Interesting. I was part of the first group buy on the WP40, and it ran great for 9 or 10 months (maybe more?). I stopped the pump to do some cleaning and it would not start up again. For the price of these, I was hoping to get a year out of it. Not quite. MY other ones (through other group buys) are still running well.
