skimmer on/off

well i was just on RC and was reading the post on the skimmer on/ off.
SO i'm going to try it not skimming at noight to see any change ,I have read that the planton comes out at night so what the heeck... smile.gif

Mind you that night time your tank would benefit from extra skimming power to prevent the pH dropping too far.
