Opened new box of salt and like the last couple of boxes alk has been really high. 11.2 dkh (reefers best)
I've mixed and rolled and stirred to salt hoping it was just settled out but still high.
In my small tank this has a bigger impact on values then I can deal with .

I've read that muriatic acid will lower alk but looking for suggestions

Not really a suggestion on what to do with your salt but this is a major reason ive gone back to regular Instant Ocean salt and buffering it to my own values. I got tired of all these buffered salts having way higher values then i wanted to add to my tank on water change days. Now i just make my fresh salt to 9DKH and 430 calcium and 1400 magnesium the same values of my tank. And i dont see the same shock i was seeing in alot of my corals on water change days.
