Go out buy a generator just a small one do a little research first though some generators kill powerheads for some reason. If you don't have a car get a taxi paying 50$ for a tai is better then loosing 2k worth of corals

Do you have natural gas? If so can always turn up the heat in your house.

Or attach your hose to your sink and turn the hot water on and put your hose in your tank and let it run though your tank and the external temperature of the hose will warm up water depending on the size of your tank. But then again i don't know how your hot water works so you may not have that either

I just have a nano tank but with decent size SPS colonies and chalices.

And i guess you could use a spatula to keep water moving? or blowing through a tube every once and awhile

$40 from Home Depot for the inverter, 400watt unit, should be enough to power the vortech and a small heater for awhile

What blowing through a hose or using a spatula? Lol Good times hopefully everything turns out ok:)

Do you have friends or family you could call and ask them to pick it up for you? just don't tell them its for the fish tank because people without fish tanks don't understand fish tank if you get what I'm saying.

Your neighbor has power?! I'll go knock on their door for you... I've been thinking for 1/2hr how to help, all I can think of is my fj cruiser has a 110v plug in the back but I need it for work at 6 am.
Walmart cap mall is open and most likely has an inverter
I can lend you a large freshly charged marine battery if you need one, I'll pm you my number

I was doing both for a bit then I got tired lol my other neighbour offered to drive me to walmart which I accepted.it was really nice of him to do that.he wouldn't even accept gas money.

And now you know two neighbors! How did the evening go? Did BC Hydro get the power issue resolved?

The issue was resolved this morning.BC hydro made a huge mistake, they were supposed to disconnect my other neighbour's power but instead disconnected mine!i was furious when i found that out and for compensation,I don't have to pay my bill for the next two months.it could've lost thousands of dollars worth of corals from that boo boo.its a good thing that there are good people out there willing to lend a helping hand:biggrin:

Sounds like a win win. Met your neighbours, and get hydro for 2 months for free and never lost a coral. Cant argue with that:mrgreen:
