Ive never used t5 lighting over a reef tank so I need alittle bit of advice.
Is 1 x 15,000k and 1 x actinic enough lighting for a 33 gallon tank? Or do I need more? I'm only keeping select lps and zoathids / palys.
What are the dimensions of your 33g tank? Is it 12" deep or 20" deep? 36" long or 24" long ?

I guess its actually only a 30 gal.
Dimensions are 36 x 12 x 16
I've got a 5-bulb T5 fixture over a 36" 38G tank and it is not enough for my reef. Corals grow slower and are less colorful then when I was running MH. 2 bulbs might be enough for softies and zoas. But barely. My zoas are nowhere near as colorful as before even when placed near the top.

As Sam said, 2 bulbs may be just "ok", and things will likely survive, but two more bulbs would be better in my opinion.

I have a 33gl long 48.3" x 12.8" x 13.4"
I run 4 T5's, 2-10k and 2-acttinic as well as a 48" blue LED strip.
Keep mostly SPS and LPS, I agree as above, softies fine but LPS or SPS and you will need a minimum 4 T5's.
