I know, I was thinking the same thing, but the lights he is using are hard to find around here/Canada... If someone knows where to get them please let us know!

Ask Jayson at SWC if he can get you prices on some T5 Fixtures (http://www.sunlightsupply.com/aquarium/products/lighting_fixture.shtml). I think he deals with Sunlight Supply.

I checked with Ivan at Auaria Canada, and they have the bulbs and end caps, and he says to use a workhorse 7 ballast. So if your into DIY it wouldn't cost much, compared to MH.You have to email Ivan to order because the bulbs aren't on the web site yet,but they cost $44.95 for actinic and $36.99 for t5 sun.

Anyone know what the difference in hydro costs would be? Cheaper/More Expensive?
