How do you guys feel about bristle worms?

Just wondering your opinion on these things?

I have seen one gradually getting bigger in my tank and I want them out

Does anyone know how to make traps or another creature that will terminate the bristle worms?!

ugly but huge in terms of CUC they eat a ton of food i wouldn't take them out in my tank any day I've seen them eat a half of silverside in like 2 hours

Ya I don't mind little ones but big ones are not my fav
I think they can def do some damage to corals and maybe fish no?

If it is big enough it will eat what it can fit in it's mouth

I was thinking of trapping it and feeding it to the birds outside

Not sure "bristle"worms are a good idea for birds. I would leave them be as part of the natural CUC, the ones in my tank have never been an issue.

Our Melanurus Wrasse keeps our bristle worms in check
He'll dig through the sand and create big sand clouds to catch 'em
We still have bristles, but they are not an issue anymore as far as getting out of control is concerned

He also keeps the brittle stars from over-populating and crowding the corals. I had a nest of them in our birdsnest once that, when I pulled it out, must have been 50 strong - a golfball-sized pile of 'em all wrapped around each other

just lost a tiny goby that spent the night with a bristle worm...covered in spines.
guessing it died of pain. :(

I have a few I keep an eye out for them.... When I rearrange the tank I watch for them...

Too many means they were/are overfed & there should be adjustments. Less food and remove as many as possible.

A few are a good thing an army is bad.

I like them. In my tank they stay small around 2cm
