Octonauts - kids show

Hi all,

Just wanted to share a kids show our 3 year old has taken a shine to. It's a cute and silly ocean themed show. Each episode is about a different sea creature (vampire squid, pilot fish, etc). Any kids show that is passably watchable, plus has a grain of educational value, is ok by me.

Warning, there are also a line of Octonauts toys, many of which can be used in the tub. They are ridiculously cute. I think my wife wants to buy them more than our daughter. :)

My kids watch it as well, they seem to enjoy it. Even though they like it, it's still a VERY distant second to Caillou.

We don't let our kids watch Caillou. He whines over everything. Our kids definitely don't need to learn that. :)

However, our kids do love Octonauts.

Show is by Vicki Wong of vancouver, creator who also did the 2010 Olympic characters,...show is in 3rd season.

That is so hilariously true. My youngest is 12 and anytime gets whiney which is pretty rare dad pulls out the " Hey Caillou! what seems to be the problem?" attitude re-alignment complete

Caillou isn't the worst kids show out there. I've got a 6 year old and the worst I've ever seen so far for kids was Yo Gabba Gabba. Mindless garbage. I'm glad they removed it from Treehouses' lineup.

Awesome. That's a trick I'm going to have to use if my girls get whiney too:wink::lol:

I can't stand Cryllou!! I do love the Octonauts though. I want to live in their under water house!

My kids love it as well. I still don't get what is up with the Turnips though??!! :biggrin:

I'm not a fan of Caillou either but sometimes 5 minuets of absolute silence is priceless. Lol
