hey, im getting ready to set up my 40g reef tank. I bought this stacker stand, and now im looking for a way to cover the back so you don't see all the wiring and cords etc. I cant use a sheet of plywood because according to my wife "its ugly". anyone have any ideas on a good cover, and ways to attach it?

Finished plywood stained ?

Expanded metal painted black , then you could neatly Zip tie the wires back .

Black eggcrate?

Door screen?

You could put magnets on what ever and it will stick it to the stand .
Easier to move and stuff .

+1 on the plywood stained. Simple, effective

And what just cut it tight and fit it in or glue it on? I can't put any screws. Where would I find a big sheet of plastic like that?

Lemme check for u. We buy 4x8 sheets of HDPE all the time at work. Problem is it might not glue that well, u will have to do it in silicon me thinks

My stand is all wood and magnets inside a aluminum frame.
I superglued them on . You can get a very nice glue to do the job !

I covered the back of my 75g with some water-resistant material we bought from a fabric store. Cheap ...
I attached it to the trim with some industrial velcro on 6 points

Nice thing is, if I don't like black, I can always buy different material

You can get magnets that screw into plywood from Lee Valley.

Get a nice sheet of plywood, like walnut, stain it and finish it. Finish the corners in aluminum angles or something. It's easy and will look good.
