This morning was tank cleaning and water change day. I used to be able to do the three old tanks by myself in one morning. But we have almost doubled the amount of water with the three new tanks compared to the three old tanks. Had DH Chris assist me this morning with the crud siphoning and water transport. Didn't think we would work very well together, but the whole thing only took about 2.5 hours for the whole task  From now on, Saturday morning will be tank day

Nice Beverly. I like the lighting over the 67 gallon tank. What are you running over that one.

Cheers,

Andy

Andy,

The fixture is by Hamiltion bought locally, but this is the one:

Tubes are a pair of URI 10,000K and a pair of URI actinics. Should have gotten a few pics of the zoos under actinic tonight, but got caught up watching a John Malkovich movie

Lostmind,

Thanks for the kind words. The more we look at the BBs, the more we like them. Don't know how they will work over the long term, but I suppose we will find out.....

Bev, very nice clean looking tanks. Just the glass on the bottom?

Thanks, Azilla

Jim, you and John have seen all three tanks up, so you really DO know how much better they look in person than in the pics

Des, the stands are what make the trio what they are. You've got to come by some time with Caley for a look. Well, once the place gets cleaned up a bit

Doug, yup, just the glass bottom. Was very careful setting up the rock so there were only a few minor crashes.

Very, very nice Bev. I've thought about trying a BB in a small cube. My luck with rock formations , well .... But whats the worst that can happen  Keep up with pics.

andestang,

I tried last night to get a few shots of zoos under actinic light only. Seems there are too many sources of reflections to get good pics. Plus I think I have to work on my macro skills a bit more. Will post more pics in a few months, when our lights sycnhronize better with darkness. Heck, up here, that's not going to be too long for you to wait, is it
