What do I need for lighting of chaeto in the first chamber of a biocube?

I'm assuming this isn't enough light coming through the bottom slots?

Lots of folks use a short waterproof led stick submerged in the back compartment with good effect. The chaeto simply grows around the light. Try to find one with a lower kelvin like 5000-6500k to get optimum growth.

what if I were to take a waterproof connector in the top of a mason jar with a bulb inside? the glass could be submersed in water. what kind of light bulb would be best inside the jar and would it get too hot. just a thought. has anyone tried this? or is it too far fetched lol:mrgreen:
