Just dipped all my zoas and a bunch more came off and died. Not sure what these things are but there appears to be a lot of them.

they look like baby chitons. Chitons are generally harmless.

Were they bothering your zoas? I've never known chitons to bother zoas, if in fact they are chitons.

Im not sure if they were bothering them or not. I noticed one of my heads of zoas looked kinda weird and dipped just the one. and 2 fell off. I then dipped all the rest and found a whole bunch more. Iv looked online for pest id but can't seem to find anything.

After looking up chiton it does look very similar but these things are tiny. And almost se through. I guess they could be babies but iv never seen such a thing in my tank before lol.

You'd be amazed at what you'd find in your tank under a microscope. So much life that the human eye can not easily see.

Yea thats forsure. But the thing is iv dipped my zoas lots before and never seen any of these fall off. I usually look at whatever falls off under a microscope just to see what I find. But you don't think they are harmful then?

Kind of flat worm IMO, how big was the biggest one?

Slyguy00

Pretty damn small, not sure how id be able to really describe the size though. They don't look like any kind of flat worm iv seen online. I just saw some in a tank the other day. I could be wrong, but looks more like a hard shelled creature.

Those are some OUTSTANDING pictures for requesting an ID. Generally it's a blurry picture with 20 different things in with no indication as to what the requester is looking at :) These are a big step up though in terms of quality.

Haha thanks. I was actually quite suprised how well they turned out myself. Not bad for an iphone and a microscope

Koodos on the quality pics! I was thinking Chiton at first too but a few things kept standing out. It looks too transparent to be one, it looks like it has appendages at the rear making it more agile, and also may have a separate head and even legs?

The closest thing I could find is called a Sphaeroma Quoianum, a type of Isopod...

Try having a look at these, they may be your critter

Wow very similar indeed. Its hard to say it almost looks like those. From the info I could find though they appear to be harmless. However I'm picking up a melanarus wrasse this week, so that should help take care of any excess bugs. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it

Kinda looks like its a baby size of this creature I found attached to rocks by the beaches of Riviera Maya when I went last yr. it was for sure alive but I was scared to even think of what it could be. Size of my thumb.

Awesome pic! I think those are the chitons that kien and kraken had mentioned. Its either that or the last one lol. Hard to say really. I don't think either is really a threat to my tank though. thanks for the cool pic
